Universities UK's Political Affairs Network provides regular information on what's happening in Westminster, briefing on the big issues being debated in parliament, and advice on ways for our members to engage with committees and inquiries.
To do this we:
- provide a weekly political affairs digest with the latest parliamentary business
- flag select committee inquiries and other opportunities for universities to provide evidence and case studies
- send ad hoc briefings on priority issues for members to use when speaking with MPs and peers
- coordinate activities such as getting MPs from university constituencies to call for debates or sign Early Day Motions
- arrange networking and training opportunities – including a full-day conference – three times a year
- maintain an email group for members to exchange information and views
The group, which is free to join, is made up of public affairs, political affairs and policy leads from our member institutions. Please fill out this form if you would like to join the network.
