The success of the UK’s higher education sector is built on diversity and autonomy. Beyond our role as the collective voice of UK universities, we work closely with each member to understand their individual goals, challenges and circumstances.
Our work aims to support our members and the positive impact they have on society – from guidance and examples on good-practice to support for university leadership, analysis and intelligence, policy development and campaigning activities.
We create value by bringing together member universities, policy makers and other stakeholders, and representing universities as one collective voice. Together, they help us compile and curate high quality information which, in turn, informs our outputs.
Representing all parts of the UK
Our goal is not only to support the collective strength of UK-wide higher education but also celebrate national differences. We lead work on UK policy issues for our members in all four nations and work on specific issues for English and Northern Irish members. Meanwhile, specific work on devolved issues is undertaken by Universities Scotland and Universities Wales.
