Understanding degree algorithms

This report summarises the findings of a joint Universities UK-GuildHE project into the configuration of degree algorithms, and looks specifically at their design, why institutions make changes​ to their algorithms, and finally, makes recommendations to help improve transparency and maintain confidence in sector standards. 

There is a UK-wide interest in maintaining robust academic standards and understanding the drivers behind the long-term improvement in degree outcomes. National funders and regulators must also make arrangements to assure themselves of the quality of the education that they fund.​​​

We are working with GuildHE and the UK Standing Committee on Quality Assessment to embed the findings and recommendations of this report.
