This study investigates students' experiences of violence and victimisation while studying at UK universities. The aims of this research are to:
- Shine a light on students’ lived experiences
- Highlight the scale and nature of the violence students encounter
- Develop evidence-led improvements to university policies and support.
This research is being conducted via an anonymous online survey in Qualtrics. More information can be found at the start of the survey by clicking the link:

Results will be used to inform future research projects, including larger-scale surveys of a similar nature. Findings may also be shared in the form of reports, publications or presentations to inform wider policy work in this area.
Key information:
- This survey is open to students aged 18+ who are studying at a UK university.
- Participation is voluntary and anonymous.
- The survey should take no more than 15 - 20 minutes and can be completed on any device – including on mobile.
