This report provides a stark assessment of the financial pressures facing Scotland's universities and underlines the challenges being experienced across higher education throughout the UK. Universities are fundamental to economic growth and are developing the skills, opportunities and innovations that will help build a better future for the UK.
Establishing a shared evidence base between Government and the sector is a very significant step towards developing sustainable solutions that will allow institutions to deliver for future generations of students, communities and the wider economy in the years ahead. Ensuring a successful future for our universities is a shared challenge that needs this kind of joint long-term approach.
