We are now the independent secretariat of the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment. The UKSCQA brings together academics and students as well as partners from across the sector and provides oversight of higher education quality assessment arrangements.
Professor Nic Beech and Professor Clare Peddie have also been newly appointed as its new chair and deputy chair. They will serve in these roles for three years. They will oversee their first meeting of the committee in these roles when it next meets in June 2022.
Recent work by the UKSCQA has included looking into the issue of grade inflation and creating principles for degree algorithm design.
