Join Universities UK and Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) on Monday 10th July at 2pm BST for a free one-hour webinar to learn about how the Graduate visa can help SMEs to strengthen their workforce.
We will hear from an international graduate and small business owner about their experiences of the Graduate visa, and an expert immigration lawyer on the options available to hire international talent, before an opportunity to have your questions answered by our expert panel. If you are unable to join the live session, you will be able to access the recording post-event.

Head of Policy Research
Emelia is the Head of Policy Research at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). Emelia joined FSB in 2018 and oversees FSB’s research programme and immigration policy. Emelia authored FSB’s, A World of Talent: Building an immigration system that works for small businesses report.
Senior Associate, Immigration team
Robert has extensive experience of assisting individuals and organisations with their UK immigration and nationality matters.
Robert’s experience covers all kinds of immigration and nationality applications but with a particular emphasis on corporate immigration matters and complex immigration issues faced by individuals, such as previous immigration breaches and criminality.
Robert often helps organisations with sponsor licence applications and advises on immigration compliance matters. He has also worked with organisations to challenge UKVI decisions following sponsor licence suspensions and revocations.
Founder and CEO
Ruth Partington is founder and CEO of award-winning translation agency, Empower Translate, and has over 25 years' experience advising global businesses on localisation operations. She was named on the E2E Female 100 list of businessowners creating a significant impact in the UK.
Ruth is Chair of the Association of Translation Companies (ATC), the leading voice for companies operating in the UK's £1.7 billion language industry.
Outside of the language industry, Ruth serves on the Market Research Society Accredited Company Partners Council, advising on standards in the market research supply chain and is the FSB Immigration Policy Champion, helping to drive positive change for SMEs.
Ruth has worked as a mentor for Cardiff University language students, and is an advocate for diversity and equality as the foundations of long-term prosperity in business.
Communications Coordinator
Saejin was born and grew up in South Korea, moving to the UK for university and graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2021 with a degree in International Media and Communications. She now works in London as a Communications Coordinator at SK ecoplant.
