He took up post in 2019 and is Swansea University’s chief executive and principal academic and administrative officer. He provides leadership and strategic direction to the University and is responsible for its financial sustainability.
Paul is a Geographer and Fellow of the British Academy and the Academy of Social Sciences. He is the Policy Lead for Research and Innovation on the UUK Board, Vice-President and Council member of the European University Association, and Chair of Jisc.
