I'm Universities UK's Director of Policy.
I have worked in the higher education sector for all my career, mostly in policy and influencing roles. My love for all things policy and higher education started during my time as an elected officer at Bristol SU. I studied Chemistry at University and have a PhD in ultrafast laser spectroscopy.
I enjoy the problem-solving and engagement parts of my role. I’m happiest when working with a team of colleagues to solve a problem on behalf of the sector. I also enjoy being a member of UUK’s LGBTQ+ network.
I've held a variety of roles in UUK and UUKi, the most recently as Director for Strategy, Insight and Member Engagement and before that Chief of Staff.
