I lead UUKi's policy and engagement work with Africa and the Middle East supporting UK institutions to achieve their international aims.

I graduated with a BA in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Advanced Arabic from the University of Edinburgh. My dissertation focused on how conflict shapes identity for those living in diaspora. Before joining UUKi, I worked at Cara (Council for At-Risk Academics) supporting Syrian academics in exile through capacity building.
I enjoy working alongside colleagues at UUKi and also engaging and collaborating with stakeholders from an international perspective.
