In May 2019, a joint Universities UK (UUK) / Research England working group, in collaboration with GuildHE, developed a draft Concordat for the advancement of Knowledge Exchange in Higher Education in England.
The aim of the concordat is to equip universities to demonstrate their diverse strengths and successes to generate real economic and societal impact by working with business and community partners
UUK and GuildHE ran a consultation on the draft concordat in summer 2019. This report provides a summary of the findings from our consultation process. This includes an analysis of the survey data, alongside insights from UK funders and other organisations involved in knowledge exchange gathered by Research England.
The valuable feedback offered by organisations and individuals through this exercise has informed revisions made to the concordat, the final version of which is due to be published in spring 2020.
