​Universities have a crucial role to play in sustaining an industrial strategy for the UK.

There is an important window of opportunity for government to enhance the role of universities in developing and implementing an industrial strategy, through the use of targeted government funding. This will ultimately achieve a stronger and more fair UK economy, and maximise the opportunities for the UK to compete successfully on the global stage.
