November 2016 saw the Rt Hon. Theresa May MP lead a high-level delegation to India in her first visit outside of Europe as Prime Minister. In parallel Jo Johnson MP, Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation led a higher education delegation that contributed to the higher education conference at the UK-India TECH Summit.

Several announcements were made over the course of the trip relating to funding opportunities and the promotion of the UK higher education sector overseas.
