This event is an opportunity to hear from UUKi on the findings, and hear first-hand from universities and students about the impact of such programmes, including any lessons learned.
This recording took place on 24 June 2021.
The world of student mobility is rapidly changing. Even before the Covid-19 pandemic, mobility and international experience was no longer restricted to semester or year-long placements in another country. More flexible, adaptable and shorter mobility programmes had been developed by universities which in many cases, aimed to offer opportunities to those who either could not or did not wish to take part in longer programmes.
As universities continue to develop new mobility offers and expand provision, and as mobility programmes continue to adapt, UUKi was keen to support the sector by providing insights into the impact of short-term programmes (shorter than four weeks' duration).
Supported by case studies and focus groups drawn from universities across the UK, the report reviews impact and benefits of short-term mobility programmes and identifies models of good practice.
