Higher education institutions around the world are working fast to adapt to new ways of teaching and learning, accelerated digital transformation, and adjust to and benefit from the disruption Covid-19 has caused.
Supporting universities through this process, Ahead by Bett, a new event for the higher education sector, will provide leaders with a forum to connect with providers of cutting-edge technology solutions. Working together, we can tackle urgent business and teaching and learning challenges.
As a Founding Partner of Ahead by Bett, we would love to have you join the event at ExCeL London on 19-21 January 2022 – you can register to attend on the Ahead by Bett website.
The higher education sector has undergone tremendous change during the pandemic. Digital transformation has brought clear benefits to students, from how flexible and accessible teaching and resources are to the changes to assessments. Now it’s time to make the most of these benefits and capitalise on investment we have made in digital transformation. I am pleased to participate in Ahead by Bett to explore how the higher education sector can collaborate with the education technology industry to benefit students.
Dr Peter Bonfield
Vice-Chancellor and President, University of Westminster
In early 2021, Universities UK International (UUKi) estimated that there were in excess of 400,000 international students studying UK courses digitally from overseas at the height of the pandemic. The last two years have brought tremendous disruption to the global higher education network. The sector now has an opportunity to break down the barriers to accessing a UK education globally by embracing digital technology. I welcome the opportunity to open a conversation with the education technology industry about how the higher education sector and businesses can collaborate in widening access to a UK education globally.
