Celia leads Universities UK International (UUKi) work on transnational education and outward student
mobility as well as its range of strategic partnerships, including with BEIS on
Newton/GCRF, Mitacs in Canada and UKIERI for Study in India
Celia began her career in international education as
International Officer at the Royal College of Music and later at the UK Council
for International Student Affairs (UKCISA), where she led on the Prime
Minister’s Initiative for International Education. She has also managed
Barclays UK flagship community investment programme. As a consultant, her
work has included strategic reviews, programme development and sustainability
strategy, in both the private and public sectors, including charities Global
Action Plan and Women in Sport, lottery operator Camelot and the Business and
Sustainable Development Commission. She has a degree in French & Hispanic
Studies from the University of Birmingham and joined UUKi in 2017.
