Former Senior Political Affairs Officer

​Alex joined Universities UK in 2012 and leads on political engagement in the areas of immigration and internationalisation, universities and counter-terrorism, freedom of speech, and professional education (such as teacher training, nursing and midwifery courses). 

Previously, Alex worked in Westminster in the offices of two members of parliament.

Alex studied philosophy at the University of Cambridge and has a masters degree in political philosophy from the University of York.
