Outward Student Mobility Lead

Emily is Outward Student Mobility Lead at Universities UK International.‚Äč

Emily previously worked at the University of Sussex until the end of summer 2020, where she headed up the Global Mobility team which dealt with outbound study abroad and inbound international exchange students. She was at Sussex for 20 years, and during this time saw many changes in the Study Abroad landscape. The work of the team supported various models of study abroad for outbound Sussex students. This included supporting the compulsory year abroad for Modern Language students and American Studies students. It also supported students on a 'voluntary' term abroad and year abroad, developing many opportunities for non-linguists through Erasmus partnerships in countries like the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Czech Republic and also Spain and Italy. The students also had opportunities to study abroad in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and South East Asia, through our numerous partnerships in these countries. Many of these also provided fantastic experiences through their international summer schools which were becoming increasingly popular with the students, as were those in Europe too.

Emily shares the role of Outward Mobility Lead with Annette Kratz.
