Transnational education: global location, local innovation

3 Oct 2018, 09:00 - 17:00

TNE is most impactful, and most sustainable, where it is innovative in meeting local needs.

Transnational education (TNE) reaches nearly everywhere in the world – universities report UK degrees are offered in all but fifteen places. In each case, the degree, the focus, the method, the pedagogy, is different. For every university delivering TNE and for all the locations receiving TNE, the rationale, the student market, the graduate and employer needs, are different.

Our flagship conference for TNE leaders will look at the ways that effective worldwide degrees blend global locations with local innovations. We will explore the latest data and ask what that tells us about the places and ways that TNE is changing; we will challenge you to use this information to move forward strategically and conscientiously with your offshore degrees; we will invite you to think about pushing the boundaries through TNE. Where will you go next, why and how?

Topics that will feature include;

  • National Launch of the latest TNE data findings
  • Institutional case studies
  • TNE and China
  • TNE in the EU post Brexit
  • TNE and official development assistance (ODA) funding
  • The TNE experience for staff and students
  • New to TNE
