Universities Week has been running since 2010 and aims to increase public awareness of the wide and varied role of the UK’s universities.
In 2014 we opened up a national conversation about the relevance of university research and its everyday impact on our lives. From 9-15 June 2014, universities across the UK invited the public to be inspired, get involved and discover the work that they are doing to tackle the challenges the public want solving.
More than 250 public engagement activities took place at universities, museums and galleries across the UK. In addition, more than 28,000 people alone took part in a week-long series of engaging activities at the Natural History Museum. In total, more than 100 universities took part in Universities Week 2014.
Universities UK have decided to take a break in 2015 to review the impacts of Universities Week.
