Sharyn Bennett

Edinburgh Napier University
Global Mobility Manager

Sharyn graduated from RMIT University in Australia with a degree in International Studies. Having experienced the value of international study through an exchange to the US during high school, she found herself drawn to the world of international education, and after a brief stint in Melbourne University’s International Admissions office, she worked three years at the Faculty of Business and Economics managing the incoming and outgoing study abroad and exchange programmes.

Envious of seeing students coming and going on their international adventures, she decided to have her own adventure, and moved to Edinburgh in 2011 to seek work in the UK HE sector. Sharyn was the Erasmus Exchanges Officer at the University of Edinburgh for several years before deciding to have a career change, and until recently worked at Edinburgh Napier University as a Research and Innovation Officer. Missing the world of student exchanges and all things international, Sharyn was thrilled to be appointed Manager of the Global Mobility team at Edinburgh Napier a few months ago, where she and her enthusiastic team are working hard to push forward the University’s mobility agenda.
