Former Policy Manager – Europe, Research and Innovation

​Lisa leads on EU and international research and innovation policy, including Framework Programme 7/Horizon 2020, EU budget negotiations and R&D investment policy, Structural Funds, open access/open science, intellectual property rights, university-business interaction and innovation activities.

Together with Lucy Shackleton, she is responsible for the development of the International Unit's strategy for engagement with Europe and regular liaison with European Parliament committees, the European Commission and other EU institutions as well as Brussels- and UK-based stakeholder organisations.

Lisa joined the International Unit from Berlin where she completed her MA in British studies at Humboldt-University in 2012. Previously, she studied at the University of Bonn and the University of Liverpool and also worked at the International Unit across a range of areas, including student mobility, the Americas, China and European higher education and research.
