​Ian is responsible for the creation, direction and delivery of a number of Universities UK's campaigns. His work includes campaigning to remove international students from the net migration target and promoting the benefits of the European Union to UK universities.

Ian's role included a brief secondment in 2011 to MoneySavingExpert.com where he worked with founder Martin Lewis to communicate the changes to student finance and tuition fees in 2012.

Ian previously worked for the CC Group, a public relations agency - whose clients included T.G.I. Friday's, Costa Coffee and POM Wonderful.

He joined our press office in 2005 and was later jointly responsible for our conference and events programme, before becoming Campaigns Manager in 2011.

Ian has a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Plymouth University.
