Changes to student finance from September 2012

University can be life changing. It can introduce you to people and take you places you never imagined possible.

But changes to tuition fees may have made you unsure about whether university is for you.

From September 2012, new full-time students going to English universities will have to contribute more towards their tuition fees. But in return you’ll get all kinds of financial support - through loans, grants and bursaries - to help you achieve your dream.

Universities UK is working with the Independent Taskforce on Student Finance Information, to help dispell some of the myths and misunderstandings of the new system. If you want to know the facts about university from 2012, this site is a good place to start.

As well as giving you all the facts about the new system, this site also explains some of the benefits of going to university - and features real life stories about how university can change your life, to give you an idea of what you can expect.
