Overview:

An increasing proportion of students are engaging in higher education. The numbers of international students in UK HEIs has been steadily rising over the last decade and the latest figures indicate that in 2009/10 over 280,000 international students and 125,000 EU students were studying here.

This conference, organised by the Working Group for the Promotion of Mental Wellbeing in Higher Education (opens new window), in collaboration with Universities UK, explored the opportunities and challenges presented for International students who come to study in the UK, focusing in particular on ways of promoting and supporting their mental wellbeing.
